A few weekends ago, my room mate Uli and I decided it would be a grand plan to get up at 6 am and go to this farmers marked in New Farm park. It was kinda awesome, despite the early hour, and our slight random wandering down town trying to find the right bus.

Though there where some interesting booths, we did come away with a tiny haul of veggies and fruit.

Some of which was not dead, and is still thriving on our stairs outside. I'm amazed I've managed to keep them alive this long, but fresh herbs are really awesome.

This is a dragon fruit. I have to say, I have never seen anything like this before, so of course I had to buy it and try it out. It was like a sweet mild kiwi flavor, and while not super impressive on it's own I put half of it in my smoothie and there it was really tasty.

Pictures. Yay

So, in case there was any doubt; Australia is really wonderful, and I am enjoying myself quite a lot. I'm finding school be be fun to
o, and I'm acclimatizing to the weather, so not going toeven talk about it being to hot. It'sofficially just nice. The picture to the left here, yeah that is a public pool in a park by the river, that is right outside school. It's not so bad.Jan Petter and I went on atrip with a bunch of otherexchange students to Byron Bay at the end of last week. It's south of Brisbane, along the coast, and has the most easterly point in
Australia, where of course someone put a light house. There we hiked to the aforementioned lighthouse, went ocean kayaking, and had surf lessons. And there may have been some partying at some point. Perhaps.

Cheers from Australia. :)
